Mint Warehouse Goes Desolat - Loco Dice - Martin Buttrich - Hector

  • [Loco Dice] From hip-hop DJ to an original resident of DC-10 and Tribehouse, and now a regular at Cocoon events and huge festivals including TimeWarp and DEMF: Loco Dice's musical knowledge spans far and wide and can be heard with every beat of his dj-sets which move effortlessly between house and techno, unearthing every corner of percussive, electronic music along the way. Creatively, his collaborations with Martin Buttrich have stunned critics and eased their way onto the most discerning playlists—first with hugely successful releases on Minus, Cadenza and Ovum, closely followed by his debut artist album, 7 Dunham Place, which attracted rave reviews from the world’s most respected music press. Dice's own label, Desolat, also continues to go from strength to strength with stellar productions from the likes of Dubfire, Livio & Roby, Martin Buttrich and Loco Dice himself, while the busy Desolat label tour continues to fill many a nightspot, showcasing the distinctive Desolat sound to packed-out venues on every continent. [Martin Buttrich (Live)] Martin Buttrich is something of a mystery. Quiet and unassuming in real life, Buttrich is the quintessential silent studio partner. Or at least he used to be." We couldn't have put it better ourselves: Martin Buttrich is one of the most celebrated and successful producers of our times, having worked with some of the biggest commercial and underground names in the business including The Sugababes, Tori Amos, Timo Maas and of course Loco Dice, he now tours with his own inspirational live set-up and completely blew us all away with his previous appearances at the Mint Club. His recent acclaimed releases on Desolat, Poker Flat and Planet-E have rightly catapulted Buttrich into the limelight as an artist of his own accord, enjoying a tour schedule which has taken him to Australia, Japan, Switzerland and the United States. [Hector] From Fabric London over to Playa Del Carmen via Ibiza back to Berlin, Hector has rapidly established himself as one of the most exciting producers and DJs around. Inspired by the sounds of Carl Craig, Moodyman, the Timewriter & Terry Lee Brown Jr, Hector soon came to realize that his future is in music. After a strong start in his home country, he headed for England, fell in love with the capital’s music scene and quickly made his mark on the underground circuit. As a producer, early offerings via Berlin's Mobilee imprint uncovered a complex, stomping, vocal-fuelled percussive pair of tracks fusing slower house tempos with an irresistible Latin swing. More recently Hector has had a vast array of remixes for NRK, Get Physical and VIVa Music and, of course, Desolat. Also his recent EP on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records has been received with great applaud.
