Ask any of his friends, and they'll tell you the same: the guy is a prolific music-making-machinist, dedicated to quality, but quantity as well - with nearly 1,000 tracks to his credit (most of which are tucked away on his hard drive as super secret weapons). Now taking the reigns alongside his A&R partners Magda & Troy Pierce, Marc Houle has resurrected their label Items & Things, breaking it free from its former Minus sub-label status. Spanning electronic genres in a variety of forms... from disco tech to experimental to techno, to bring their eclectic tastes together as an outlet for music they discover on their travels & a home for their own releases. Marc Houle's current sound can be described in cityscapes - somewhere between Chicago & Detroit, with a new-wave underbelly. His live performances are always diverse & genre-bending reigns supreme. No two sets are ever the same, except perhaps, their ability to impress the crowd. He's travelled a long way from his 1997 residency at Richie Hawtin's club "13 Below" in Detroit, to being asked to join the legendary Minus label, now making Berlin his home & continuing to show his diverse musical roots on his productions. In February 2012 Marc Houle released his heavy-hitting, second album and single "Undercover" on Items & Things, with more releases in the making. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ★ Claudia Lovisa Most notably renowned as one half of successful DJ and production duo Amelie, 2010 has seen Claudia making huge waves in her own right, as a solo artist on the international underground music scene. Claudia – who took up permanent residence in Ibiza in 2010 – has spent much of the year locked away in the studio, honing and fine-tuning her undeniably addictive sounds. Sexy jackin tech, Upfront and engaging house packed with solid grooves, standout melodies, and a true underground edge. Her fluid, intriguing sets have resulted in a huge demand for Claudia to perform all around the world, from clandestine underground parties to the world’s biggest clubs. Standout gigs include the Miami WMC, San Juan Festival at Sonar, Germany’s Love Parade, Rooftop Moscow, Vertigo in Costa Rica, D-Edge in Brazil, Mamitas Beach Club in Playa del Carmen, Gotica in Columbia and Pacha Ibiza. Her mixing skills have enabled her to play along side luminaries like Steve Bug, Audiofly, Konrad Black, Damian Lazarus, Nick Curly and Robert Dietz. She’s come along way since her teenage years, back in her hometown of Durban, South Africa. At the tender age of 15, Claudia – who is also of Italian descent – was first introduced to house music through an older group of friends involved in the local music scene. Her keen passion for vinyl and mixing developed as She spent hours hanging around the DJ booth of her favourite club listening to UK and US house and she was heavily inspired by the infectious sound and attitude of the music. In 2000, the 19-year old packed her bags for London and took her first steps on a dedicated musical career path, quickly scoring a string of residencies and guest slots across London, including clubs like The Cross, The End and numerous other east end parties such as Retox. In 2006 Claudia crossed paths with DJ Sophie Oliver and embarked on a Music Production course at the SAE institute of London and further formed the duo known as Amelie. Claudia soon found her feet as a producer and Amelie were signed to Audiofly’s Supernature Label with their first release in 2008, ‘Under the Radar’, a collaboration with Audiofly. With rave reviews, The girls went on to remix for fellow supernature artists Alex Niggeman, Fabbio Gianelli, Kabuto & Koji and released other remixes and ep’s on labels such as Uberbeat , 1trax and SK Supreme ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ★ Saoirse It's taken just a handful of years for SAOIRSE to establish herself as a prominent name on the UK and Ireland's electronic music scene. Every Thursday night at midnight Saoirse hosts The Plate, a radio show for Ireland's leading media broadcaster RTE. Here she has had the honour in to host guests mixes and interviews with the likes of DJ Sneak, Radioslave, Martin Buttrich, Paul Woolford, Catz N Dogz, Jamie Jones, Crazy P, Reboot , Frivolous & Daniel Stefanik . Having relocated to London, SAOIRSE currently holds residencies with popular promoters Art Of Dark and Down Under; parties which have seen her playing alongside artists such as Maya Jane Coles, CrazyP, Clockwork, Kozo & Cesare, Jozif, Hector, Massi DL, Christian Burkhardt, Leif, Spencer Parker, Mark Ashken, Chris Carrier, Gavin Heirlhy, Subb-an and Adam Shelton. Prior to this she'd DJ'd at an abundance of highly successful parties in Ireland & UK, supporting artists such as Dinky, Solomun, A Guy Called Gerald, Julio Bashmore & Ewan Pearson, and holding residencies in the electronic music hotbed of Ibiza. Although she personally hates to pigeon hole herself into specific genres, SAOIRSE is known for pushing diverse grooves, deep bass lines and riffs that invariably put smiles on faces. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ★ Lamine His interest in electronic music dates back to his adolescence, mainly by listening to techno and house music. Born in 1989, djing came as second nature to him and soon enough so was producing. First, by playing in private parties for friends. Then, more and more often in bars and clubs all over paris and london were he really started to produce and finished is first ep (uno solo) Music is his first love, and what excites him is being able to evolve their sound and share it with everyone, creating a special atmosphere for a unique moment. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is a limited capacity event, 600 tickets will be sold and only in advance!
