イギリス・ノーフォーク出身のプロジューサーNathan Fake。ティーンの頃から音楽制作やプレーをしていた彼は、2003年、今やジャンルレスに支持されている天才James Holden主宰のレーベルBorder Communityから「Outhouse」で衝撃のデビュー。その後、Saw RecordingsやTraum Schallplattenからも着々とリリース。
2006年3月James Holden率いるBorder Communityよりデビューアルバム『Drowning In A Sea Of Love』リリースし世界中でスマッシュ ヒットとなる。James Holdenの『Balance』に収録され、その圧倒的な存在感をみせていた名曲「Outhouse」で衝撃のデビューを果たしてからというもの、レトロでピュア、そして繊細な輝きを持つ孤高のエレクトロ・ミュージックを生み出し続けている Nathan Fake。2009年6月には2nd Hard lslandsをリリースし話題を呼び、2010年にはFour Tet (aka Kieran Hebden)と共にUSA Tourを成功させ話題を呼ぶ。2012年には3rd Album『Steam Days』をリリースし、さらに進化を遂げた彼はフューチャリスティックなサウンド・ワールドが響き渡る。彼はサウンドに対する飽くなき探究心が見事に表現し、Border Communityレーベルの看板アーティストとして君臨する傍ら、2014年秋にNathan Fakeが主宰するレーベルCambria Instrumentsを立ち上げ精力的にリリースし話題を呼ぶ。
