Seven Davis Jr.は、昨年Ninja Tuneと契約し、その直後に発表した1stアルバムを含む一連の作品が話題となり、今年11月には早くも最新アルバム「Live From The Other Side」をセルフレーベルからリリースした、正に今が最も旬なプロデューサー/シンガー。2012年頃にKutmahの目に止まってデビューして以降、Prince経由のPファンクセンスやモダンソウルの濃厚な色気を漆黒のハウスとして昇華し続けてきた。しかしその全ては、彼が物心ついた時から磨き続け、メジャーレーベルからのオファーが殺到したほどの歌唱力と、かつて90年代にメインストリームにて名の知れたR&Bやゴスペルのバックシンガーやゴーストライターとして活動していた際に培った熟練のテクニックに裏打ちされている。共演には、今夏にCrue-Lよりアルバムを発表したKeita Sanoが、Panorama Barを興奮の渦に巻き込んだと評判のライヴセットで登場。さらにはForce of NatureのDJ Kentと、BLACKSUNDAYが脇を固め、天地万有のハウスの交差によって未だ見ぬ感動が生まれる一夜となるだろう。

The deep universe of “Deep House”
After signing and releasing his first album with Ninja Tune last year, Seven Davis Jr. has quickly gained recognition. He has just released another album “Live From The Other Side” from his own label this November, and is making his mark as one of freshest producer/vocalist in the scene. Keita Sano, who has released an album from Crue-L this summer and has roared the crowd at Panorama Bar, will be performing live alongside DJ Kent from Force of Nature and DJs from BLACKSUNDAY.
