After a series of releases on labels including Hot Haus Records, OFF Recordings and Slapfunk Records, Glass brings Anil Aras for his Belfast debut on December 1st.
Anil Aras is a Utrecht-based DJ and Producer, gaining widespread popularity after a string of impressive releases on various labels, before founding Slapfunk Records in 2011. Anil Aras' sets often groove through various raw house cuts and are always full of heavy hitters and plenty of energy. Raised on 90s house music and early 2000's techno, his sets often feature tracks that helped shape his signature sound, alongside the tracks he has been inspired to create.
Anil Aras will be playing a headline set at The Art Department, Belfast on December 1st. With low ceilings, a dedicated and intimate dancefloor and a serious system, the club is the perfect fit for the Netherland-based DJ to throw some raw house cuts down.
Support comes from local head Embezzlement Society, a DJ/Producer who has released on labels including Tenderpark, Banoffee Pie, Extended Play and Roit Recordings. Embezzlement Society's sounds take influence from hip-hop, jazz and soul before creating his signature house cuts, which will be sure to set the scene for the evening. First on will be our residents, Body Varials + Lee Ven.
Glass is a new Belfast club night ran by DJs, promoters and creatives with the aim of bringing international talent to a thriving local club scene.
