We are excited to have OM Records' Troydon headlining this months Ask Somebody! for his final set as an NYC resident before moving to LA. Always a pleasure, Troydons signature sound showcases smooth technical wizardry combined with a music selection geared to satisfy even the most discerning house music listeners. I can't wait to hear him leave NYC with a bang! Ab Logic and Brian Anderson will also be gracing the decks with their signature jackin sound! June 27th is Ab Logic's brithday celebration so expect him to be in top form with some fresh from the studio toons to share with those there to celebrate. Also playing upstairs are Undulate Recordings' Deepspell & Billy Disciple, NYC Housing Authority's Dbow & Lou Cass, and the one and only Peter Hale who always opens the party properly!
BASEMENT "CHANGE OF PACE ROOM":
"A Change of Pace" is our exploration of good music in all shapes and forms. DJs combine forces to dig in the crates and bring out some of the most eclectic and diverse jams, breaking genre barriers and creating a dancing environment within the tight personal vibe of Moomia's basement. Expect to hear some of the freshest downtempo and nu-funk & nu-jazz joints, mixed in with some of the most old-school hip hop tracks, along with afro-latin flavored party jams, funk, soul, mushroom jazz, disco, and deep, soulful house! This month we have Baltimore's Godfather Sage playing the guest spot gracing us with his own brand of self produced beats. Always a pleasure on the turns, we can't wait to hear what GFS has to offer on this trip to NYC. Change of Pace residents Ab Logic and tHoraX will be at it again with their seemlessly programmed party sets that create the vibe the Change of Pace night has become so well known for!
