  • FREAKIN909 PRESENTS FREAKIN909 IRISH TOUR (CORK, DUBLIN, GALWAY) LOW STEPPA Low Steppa’s tenure in the scene has been short but explosive due to his forward thinking and intelligent production work, making his popularity rise rapidly. Catapulting his career with his massive bootleg of Route 94’s ‘My Love’ reaching over 1.4million plays on YouTube in 2013 truly set the pace of things to come. The track received so much hype that Route 94 replaced his own version within club sets, giving it away for free across his social media channels. This prompted Low Steppa’s Soundcloud page to become an essential download destination for house fans. Now, a regular feature on the UK’s favourite radio shows, you can hear Low Steppa’s tracks on Kiss FM, Capital/ Capital Xtra FM and BBC Radio 1 Xtra. Since “My Love” success, notable productions include his most recent rework of Hardrive’s ‘Deep Inside’, which was picked up by legendary dance label Strictly Rhythm, also reaching No.1 on Traxsource within the first week of release. Playing Radio 1’s Big Weekend Opening Party, EDC Las Vegas, Mysteryland and becoming a favourite with the Sankeys brand as a ‘one to watch’ in both Manchester and Ibiza clubs, the DJ has secured a headline summer 2015 residency at the latter, reaching new heights. House music’s new prodigy has received huge support from Radio 1 DJ’s Mistajam, Target, Cameo and B Traits as well as Pete Tong, Gorgon City and Shadow Child. The versatile talent, Low Steppa, has gone from strength to strength with his latest single ‘So Real’ released in June 2015 on Universal’s premiere dance imprint label, All Around The World Records which reached number 1 in the music week dance charts. Alongside his heavy DJ schedule and releases, Low Steppa operates his own label by the name of Simma Black, nurturing new talent. Low Steppa is in hot demand for his wired bootlegs he is so well known for and can be heard on Rinse FM every third Friday of the month. HOUSE OF VIRUS House Of Virus is the prolific DJ/Production duo comprised of Manchester based, Dirty Orkestra, and Lithuania’s own, Virus J. At the very core of this Househeavyweight partnership, rests a genuine love for qualityhousemusic; forged during their respectively fruitful music journeys. Collectively, HOV’s performance history includes residencies at Pacha franchise & Kazantip Republic, legendary Hacienda events, and bookings alongside electronic music’s elite Underworld, John Digweed, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, D Ramirez, Gus Gus and Above & Beyond. With a production/remix catalogue (past & present), that is laced with the likes of Sandy Rivera (Kings Of Tomorrow), Deep Forest, Phoenix, Royksopp, Eddie Amador, Lissat & Voltaxx, Kevin Saunderson (Inner City). A permanent fixture in the Beatport Top 20, including a coveted Top 5 Spot, HOV have garnered support from the likes of DJ Mag, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Bob Sinclar, Shaddow Child, and even BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM. Fast forward to 2015, where the duo are now at the helm of hotlyanticipated new label, Freakin909 alongside “The Godfather Of House,” Marshall Jefferson, and DJ Ides – and it’s clear to see that HOV have no intention of slowing their assault on the House music and Electronic arena. House Of Virus, came for the music; and the world it seems, just can’t get enough. DJ IDES From growing up in his native California to his current residence in Lithuania, music has been an absolute constant in the life and development of DJ Ides. Alongside Marshall Jefferson and House Of Virus, he is one of the creative forces behind the recently launched Freakin909 label, and with a spate of his own original productions and remixes set to be unleashed, the time has come for the underground house community to start paying attention. Growing up on a musical diet of everything from classical to punk rock, it was the 90s desert rave scene that first exposed DJ Ides to the electronic sounds that would become a staple part of his life, attending Moontribe parties and gorging on sets from the likes of Sasha & Digweed (whose seminal Northern Exposure mixes left an indelible impression), Phil K and LTJ Bukem, all of whom remain key influencers on both his style of mixing and own productions. DJ Ides own music sits very much within the house genre, but is heavily influenced by tech house and techno. In the studio he has a passion for making use of hefty hardware synths to get a more varied and complete sound. He also owns an incredibly extensive vinyl collection, which acts as an invaluable reference point as well as a library for obscure samples. After relocating to Lithuania, DJ Ides met fellow DJ and producer Virus J who was also playing the underground circuit there. Through him, he met with Marshall Jefferson and after discovering they shared musical interests decided to found Freakin909. So far the label has seen releases and remixes from the likes of Eddie Amador, Doorly, Hoxton Whores and Marshall Jefferson himself, and with a flourishing release schedule, including remixes on Jefferson’s seminal ‘Mushrooms’, looks to be going from strength to strength. With a number of residencies at various underground haunts in Lithuania, DJ Ides has been biding his time, spending hours in the studio honing his sound. Now the stage is set, and with a recent collaboration with House of Virus ‘The Sound Of House’ released on Casa Rossa, a remix of House of Virus & Jimi Polo’s ‘Better Days’ just released on Freakin909 and plenty more original productions to be released shortly, 2016 looks set to be a landmark year for DJ Ides.
