We kick off December and our last party of the year with someone we’ve wanted for a wee while. Hailing from just over the Pennines in Sheffield, it’s a pleasure to welcome Thatmanmonkz to Manchester!
Thatmanmonkz is the owner of Shadeleaf music, started in late 2013 with a focus on quality underground deep, soulful house music. Anyone familiar with the label knows each release is essential and recently has been releasing tracks digitally from SWAT too, such as the fantastic ‘AmeriKKKan Poets’; a collaboration between Thatmanmonkz, Leron Thomas and Malik Ameer Crumpler - check it! Alongside releases on his own imprint, ‘Monkz can be found releasing MPC-driven house on labels such as Classic Music Company, Kolour LTD, Dirt Crew and Delusions Of Grandeur (where he put out the Tony Humphries favourite ‘For Bae’ last year!). If you consider yourself a house head, this is your man!
On support duties we have resident selector Darryl Marsden and joining him will be local up and coming producer, Sid Quirk! Look out for this chap making waves in the very near future!
