KWAKE BASS has been a perennial presence on the South London music scene since day. From playing drums with streetside luminaries Speakers Corner Quartet he’s since become the go-to sticksman for the likes of MF DOOM, Jehst, Sampha and longtime collaborator and creative confidant Kate Tempest.
This show promises to be very special, as not only does it mark the first release of Kwake’s brand DEM1NS, a project he’s been working on with the always impeccable DONE LONDON crew, it’s also a celebration of his latest planetary rotation.
To mark this auspicious turn of events Kwake’s put together a bill featuring a veritable list of South London All Stars: playing with him in a band especially created for the evening are Wu-Lu, Raven and Confucius MC, whilst super-producer and Speedy Wunderground lynchpin and Dan Carey will join Kwake for a special set under his alias Savage Gary. Topping it all off the Curl crew, fresh from tour with Mount Kimbie, will be performing a special show case set as well.
No doubt there’ll be a more than a couple of special guests passing through as well, but the only way of finding out who they are is by coming down on the night. Free tickets available to the first 200 people who register.
