Since the impressive electronic funk of’ Discopolis ‘ first swooped into our lives back in 2005 ,Kris Menace has been dominating dancefloors with his sci-fi house creations .The German producer ,also known as Christophe Hoeffel ,has blazed an independant trail since he first appeared on the scene ,creating a unique style that is somewhere between electro-boogie ,progressive house and Vangelis inspired ambient soundtrack material .,and recently with some impressive techno cuts such as ,;Scaler .’
Remixing LCD Soundsystem ,Roisin Murphy ,and Air has further helped his reputation as the go –to-guy for dancefloor hits ,and his latest single ,the maddening ,rabble rousing ‘SCALER’ ,has really impressed and found its way into the sets of Erol Alkan ,A-Trak ,and SOULWAX .
Buts its Menace’s debut album ,the enormous triple cd ‘Idiosyncrasies’-that came out on the 20th April on Compuphonic –which should secure his club and car stereo domination for years to come .....
He is currently working on an album with Felix Da Housecat !
