Hoang's curiosity and love for music started at a very young age. As a toddler, his dad recalls that he used to crank the stereo to full volume and dance ecstatically around the house. Not much has changed since. While living in Los Angeles, Hoang held residencies at some of the biggest clubs (Avalon Hollywood) and was part of the long-standing Basic Promotions crew for a number of years, cutting his teeth as an opening DJ and sharing the stage with some of the world’s best DJs. Since moving to Denver in 2010, Hoang has made the most impact as an opening DJ for some of the biggest names in underground house and techno, directly supporting artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Hot Since 82, Anja Schneider, Max Cooper, Steve Bug, Damian Lazarus and Dixon as one of Afterhours Anonymous’s resident DJs. Known for his patient, eclectic style and attention to programming, Hoang understands that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts when it comes to building his sets.
