Resident Advisor are hosting a party to raise funds for Help Refugees. We’ve put together a lineup of artists that in the past few years have really pushed the sounds of city forwards, alongside some up and coming acts that will be doing the same for years to come.
Room 1 sees a back to back set from two legends of the scene: Special Request and DJ Zinc. Both artists have explored a huge variety of sounds over their storied careers, and have a particular passion for breakbeat ridden jungle mutations. We’ve also got garage and funky indebted electronica from Hyperdub mainstay Cooly G, grime heroes and Butterz label heads Elijah and Skilliam, Swamp 81’s Mickey Pearce, and Radar Radio’s Martha.
Room 2 is a more house focused affair. Headlined by Daphni back to back Leon Vynehall, they’ll be joined by Mall Grab plus a rare appearance from underground favourite John Swing, Whitie’s new wave freak Reckonwrong, and up and coming DJ Peach.
The same night will see a party at Berlin’s OHM club, featuring Vladimir Ivkovic, Tijana T, Eric Cloutier, Gwenan and Gigsta.
All funds raised (including booking fees) will go towards Help Refugees, which provides emergency aid and vital services to those affected by the global refugee crisis, which currently impacts approximately 65.3 million people.
