"The work Zwölftonform offers a complementary approach to the consideration of how machines might deal with their autonomy in the future. Based on and inspired by the formalism of the twelve-tone row, Lutz plays with the assumption that this abstract form of music can have a harmonic effect on technically created intelligences. Thus, the real issue is no longer that man composes sound for people with the help of machines, but that machines create an aesthetics exclusively for machines and the human being remains merely an external observer."

Federico Foderaro is an audio-visual Berlin based artist, media technologist, and Max/MSP teacher. During the studies he started developing fascination for audiovisual art and the link between art and technology, going deeper into those topics. He teaches the Max/MSP software in workshops, private lessons and university courses, besides a collection of publicly available video and written tutorials that can be found on his website: www.federicofoderaro.com.
He works with various artists and companies, collaborating to the creation of art pieces and commercial installations. His work "Anthropocene" was has been recently awarded the jury prize of the "Anthropocene" contest organized by the Mutek festival.
Andreas Lutz’s (*1981 in Freiburg, Germany) initial works refer to alternative human machine interaction and the approach, to create integrated and universal communication systems. In his recent work, he increasingly analyzes and reveals phenomenons of perception versus reality and principles of abstract aesthetics with audio-visual installations. The creation of experimental soundscapes and the relation of semiotics and sound are further aspects of his work. Among others, Lutz’s work has been exhibited at the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe (Germany), the Antarctic Pavilion during 57th Venice Biennale (Italy), the National Art Center Tokyo (Japan), at ISEA2017 in Manizales (Colombia), the OpenArt Biennale in Örebro (Sweden), at Galerie Mazzoli in Berlin (Germany), at FILE in São Paulo (Brazil) and won the Excellence Award at the 19th Japan Media and Arts Festival (Japan), the Premio Celeste Art Prize (Italy), the Webby Award (USA) and the German Design Award (Germany).
