It's that time again... we are all about bringing fresh international talent to our city and enjoying it with all of you. It's no secret we have a thing for the Romanian scene, and as it expands and reaches the US we are happy to connect the dots.
Cristi Tudorache is a Romanian producer who goes by the name of Melodie. He has a close relationship with, and greatly influences, his local scene and has done so since an early age when he first got the electronic music bug. He began making his own music and composing songs at the age of 13 as he explored the rhythms of electronic music. Around 2005, he began making waves as a DJ, picking up gigs and eventually a residency in Bucharest. While he continued to push his sound in Romania, it finally paid off with a release on Raresh’s label, Metereze. Entitled Echo Rhythm, it was a hit that got supported far and wide by DJs in the know. Not long after, Swiss label Rora and Bleu Ciel came calling. He has been featured on Resident Advisor and XLR8R as a contemporary star, as his ‘Acid Sunday’ made it into their 2015 year end list as one of the best.
On opening duties is our own Exander who's diligence and hard work in the studio is earning him recognition from major international artists and landing him deals with top labels such as Arupa and Tzinah.
