Resident Advisor and Absolut join forces to bring you round two of Alternate Cuts, an event series celebrating the UK crews that keep their local nightlife scenes thriving. The crews who, outside their nine-to-fives, work tirelessly to put on killer parties. For little or no return, these promoters bring their communities together. To celebrate this, we’ve collaborated with three crews to bring some of their favourite artists to play alternative sets. They’ll be exploring corners of their record collections that rarely see the light of day, in some of the best intimate venues in the UK.
On Wednesday the 25th of April, we join Manchester’s Meat Free to host Donato Dozzy at Soup Kitchen for his Manchester debut. Anyone who caught his secret closing set at Terraforma festival last year, or even heard about it, will be thrilled to know he’ll be taking a similar approach on this - no one sound dominating the evening, instead he’ll be throwing out the rulebook and delivering something entirely unique.
All ticket and bar proceeds from the series will be donated to Stonewall: supporting acceptance without exception.
