SASH resident party practitioner GABBY elevates the Terrace of SASH by Day, just in time for Chris Tietjen to rejoin the ranks until Berlin based David Delgado puts things into perspective, while we look towards Home to close off another sterling Sunday at SASH.
★ David Delgado ★
Colombian born with an eye for detail, it’s the little things that make David Delgado impressive – resulting in establishing himself in the upper level of the German capital’s underground firmament. His music is dryer, more minimal, its jazziness increasingly improvisational, with artfully manipulated chords, and basslines punctuated by the swell of mysterious orchestral stabs. The mood is suspended, an off-kilter swamp-like haze perfect to close off the open air Terrace at Greenwood.

★ Chris Tietjen ★
Having tried his hand at Home-making, we liked what we saw from Chris Tietjen, and invited him back to SASH for a stint at Day, bringing his vinyl infused, house sound to the open air courtyard of Greenwood Terrace. As someone who keeps the innocent underground spirit of the great house and techno era intact, he’s also one to develop artistically as styles progress and change. Perhaps this is the reason fellow German taste-maker and lord of the dance Papa Sven Vath asked him to contribute to Cocoon’s Compilation series – and perhaps why we think he has the depth to excel at both Day and Night.
