vurtnight with SVRECA (Semantica / Madrid)
2018년 3월의 첫 번째 금요일, 우리는 오랫동안 기다려 온 매우 특별한 손님 SVRECA를 맞이한다. 스페인 마드리드 출신의 SVRECA는 세계적으로 인정받고 있는 딥 테크노 아티스트 중 한 명으로써, 지난 10년간 레이블 SEMANTICA를 운영해오며 현대 테크노의 새로운 흐름을 만들어 왔다. 우리에게도 그동안 깊은 영감을 주어온 SVRECA는 2018년 서울-도쿄 투어의 일환으로 vurt.에서 첫 내한 디제잉을 선보인다. 궁극의 테크노, SVRECA의 3시간 디제이 셋을 직접 느낄 수 있는 vurtnight은 오는 3월 2일 금요일 밤 11시부터 시작된다.

DJ이자 프로듀서 그리고 레이블 SEMANTICA의 이름으로 알려져 있는 SVRECA는 테크노 장르에 대한 새로운 이상을 가지고 타협 없는 자신만의 길을 걸어가고 있다.
정교하고 깊이 있는 일렉트로니카와 테크노의 결합을 시도해오던 SVRECA는 기존의 테크노에서 잘 사용되지 않던 사운드와 리듬들을 댄스 플로어에서 실험해왔으며, 이러한 경험들을 바탕으로 사람의 마음을 움직이는 데 비중을 둔 새로운 테크노를 선보이고 있다. SVRECA의 테크노, 그리고 그의 레이블 SEMANTICA에서 발매되는 음악들은 추상적이고 실험적인 성격을 띠고 있으며, 현대 테크노의 흐름이나 유행과는 거리를 둔 채, 항상 창의적이고 단호한 그들만의 방식으로 만들어지고 있다.
Svreca is Spanish techno’s most recent celebrated son. As a DJ, producer and label boss he constantly updates his vision for the genre, and it is one where no compromises are made and the focus is firmly on getting into your mind rather than your body.
Both his own techno and the stuff he releases on his own Semantica label from the likes of Surgeon, Silent Servant and Abdulla Rashim is truly textured and experimental, abstract but inviting stuff that makes for a cerebral listening experiences. His DJsets, too, are brave and forward looking things that pay little heed to current trends, and instead remain resolutely inventive from start to finish.
Svreca combines the coolest and most sophisticated electronica with the most abstract and complex techno, and sometimes his experimentation leads him towards the most unusual textures and rhythms for the dancefloor.
