For the first time in Budapest underground’s history Kenneth Christiansen, best known as Echocord boss is having a DJ set in LARM.
Kenneth with his label - built up for the perfect fusion of dub and techno elements - has established his name as one of the fundations of dubtechno’s second wave. In 2002 he – a former record store worker – created Echocord, which in the past 16 years had became the biggest producer of bass heavy sounds. Released over 100 vinyl records with artists such as Resoe, Fluxion, Quantec, Deadbeat or Ricardo Villalobos. Meanwhile a sublabel named Echocord Colour was launched for more tecno oriented tunes, he himself takes part as a producer in Pattern Repeat with Dennis Bog. His latest project is echo echo, which sublabel will have it’s first EPs out this spring.
He has been djing all over Europe for the past decades, playing in clubs like Fabric, Berghain, Tresor, and festivals like Sonar and Dimension. He picks his releases with excellent taste and attentive carefullness as well as his own sets. He honours the genre’s iconic shadowy deepness, emotic power and poetic reality, believing that one good track could both work on a dancefloor or while listening still at home.
