ahanan are back after a long hiatus to celebrate the pressing of the first vinyl release.
Over a year since the first release by Sek, Tahanan have now filled up the catalogue for forthcoming vinyl and digital releases.
Returning to our home Herd there will be two rooms of underground music.
In the basement will be deep and tech house and the bar will be funk, soul, disco and anything with a groove.

Eddie Richards is an integral part of the modern House scene, he has been around from the start and has played a pivotal part in the scenes movement. His achievements are numerous, establishing the first ever DJ agency, and his involvement in ‘Wiggle’..
Like it or not, the only path towards being a talented dj is having loads and loads of experience. The ability to gather a record bag together and please a random dance floor in a random city is an acquired skill that only grows with practice. Eddie Richards, dance music’s quintessential pioner and 'Britain’s godfather of house and techno' (Mixmag) was one of the first DJs to champion house back in the mid 8O’s & one of the UK s original mix DJ's who became a key figure in a new music and cultural movement soon to explode worldwide. After playing at such influential and original underground clubs as Clink St. & Heaven in London and Manchester's Hacienda, he went one to headline the legendary UK pay parties Sunrise. Energy and Helter Skelter among countless others. Remix and production work led to the release of club classics; ’Acidman’ in ’88 which hit the UK Top 20, followed by other chart topping remixes of Ralphi Rosario, Orbital and The Shamen. Eddie has been included in virtually every book, documentary and film about dance culture and is sought after all over the world for his flawless mix of deep bass driven techno with soulful & tough house, a format he has always maintained, and has led him to be widely regarded as the pioneer of what is now known as ’tech-house’.

Lee Clarke is a house freak from Milton Keynes. Lee got bit by the dj bug at the tender age of 15 and hasn't looked back.

Lee has been known to have a unique style which ranges from deep house to techno, this comes from his many influences over the years such as Mark Farina, Asad Rizvi (now Silverlining), Derrick Carter, Eddie Richards, Stacey Pullen, Terry Francis, Jimpster, Atjazz, Phil Weeks and DJ Heather. In 2008 Lee became a regular on Chicago House FM with his show Tahanan. The show lead to many gigs and making new friends which motivated Lee to start a promotion of the same name, which he used to reflect his personality and beliefs, Good People, Great Music. The party started in his home town Milton Keynes and has had Eddie Richards and Terry Francis play on a regular basis as well as guests such as Jordan Peak, Pete Dafeet, Roberto, Sek, Michael McLardy and Dudley Strangeways. Tahanan has since evolved into a record label, with the first release coming from Sek, however, he's now taken the jump into turning the label into a vinyl label with releases from Dudley Strangeways, Jay Tripwire, Jonna, Martin Bellomo, Pete Dafeet, Lee Clarke and many more.
After setting up Tahanan, Lee has had a hand in production. After spending years looking at the studio and not having a clue what to do with it, Dudley Strangeways reached out to Lee and taught him how it was done. This lead to the two forming a great friendship and making tracks together, with an ep on the Chicago based label Large Music. That was the beginning for Lee as he's since gone on to have releases on Savoir Faire Musique, Lisztomania Records, Zwilling Records and has upcoming releases on King Street Sound's Street King, Demarkus Lewis' imprint Grin Music and his own label Tahanan.

House Music Fan, DJ, Record Label Owner and Internet Geek!
I'm not one for writing big biogs in the 3rd person narrative so here is my story so far...
I started listening to house music and DJ'ing in the late 90's whilst working at my local record shop. I went on to run the shop until 2002.
This lead to several gigs in and around the home counties, mainly playing the back rooms at some of the UK's most well known clubbing nights whilst on tour.
Whilst at the record shop I became involved with a Thursday night promotion based in Milton Keynes called Fazed Music. The musical ethos of the night was quality underground house music ranging from soulful tracks through to dubbier deeper house. Guests at this night included: Kenny Hawkes, Mark Wilkinson and Smokin Beats amongst many others.
The Fazed nights began to pick up memento and we began hosting nights around the home counties which resulted in us hosting the Ministry of Sounds baby Box on a regular basis between 2001 & 2002. This also led to several sets in the main bar for The Ministry of Sounds 'Rulin' events on a Saturday night.
We also took the Fazed Music brand to Turnmills and other venues across the UK. These nights ended in 2003 when the main promoters decided it was time to end on a high and work on solo projects.
In 2007 I started my own label: Fazed Music. Our first release was a track by Texas deep house master 'Demarkus Lewis'. Remixes on this first release came from Chicago's SmartBar resident 'Miles Maeda'.
Following this we have gone on to release 12's and digital tracks and remixes by artists such as: Giom, John Larner, Vernon Bara, The Latenight Society, Natural Rhythm & Damien Bailey amongst many others.
