Schwein & Badornament are back at Wire on Saturday 16th June, with a sublime line up headed up by acclaimed DJ & producer Nail, plus local legends Annie Errez and Midge Thomson.
Nail is somewhat of a cult legend, booting out quality releases since the mid nineties. He has released countless tracks on top quality labels such as Classic, Constant Sound, Shabby Doll, Robsoul, Steve O'Sullivan's Mosaic label and on Nail's own label 89:GHOST.
Expect premium grade house music, with slick basslines and rolling grooves stitched together with his top drawer track selection and mixing skills.
This is going back a decade or two, but we recently found out Nail was also half of the Electronica act Bent, who released several quality albums and also a Fabric Live 11 mix in 2003. My favourite Bent track is Swollen, which was a highlight of countless chill out compilations in the early 2000's.
So its safe to say Nail has considerable music history and heritage and we can't wait to have him play for you at Wire.
Supporting Nail we have local legend Annie Errez, long standing resident of System/Mint and always a feature at Cocoon in the Park.
Speaking of Steve O'Sullivan (who smashed Wire to bits recently for our friends Sub:Terranea) - Annie has also released quality music on Steve O'Sullivan's label Mosaic, including a Mosaic Split Series EP featuring a track from Nail - Pharoah and two of Annie's tracks including the awesome Bell Curve.
So hearing Nail and Annie play and the transition between them, will be a spectacle to behold!
Last but not least we also have Midge Thomson supporting, who is part of the unique, infamous, punk mentality, lewd and down right naughty party starters Hold The Relish. He's a seriously good DJ to boot, so the music will be incredible all night long.
