Plútó is a DJ collective from Iceland formed by a group of friends which boasts some of the most experienced DJs of the Reykjavík scene, alongside up-and-coming talents. Collectively they host a weekly FM radio show covering a wide range of modern sounds: techno, bass, electro, gqom, kuduro, grime, footwork, etc.
The past years have seen Plútó build a reputation as a solid crew of DJs and music connoisseurs. In collaboration with FALK records, they have hosted a slew of major events in Reykjavík, including showcases for UK label Opal Tapes, Ectotherm (Courtesy and Mama Snake), as well as parties featuring techno DJ/producer PERC and grime legend Spooky.
Last year, Plútó performed the closing set at the Sónar festival in Reykjavík where nine DJs filled the stage and delivered a b2b bonanza. The performance was selected as one of five key moments of the festival according to Resident Advisor. Other appearances included events by Redbull Music Academy and Boiler Room (hosted by Jamie XX) as well as individual DJ performances at such clubs as Tresor Berlin.
