It’s with great pleasure we are able to announce something very unique. DJ Sotofett will be running a series of WANIA parties with us here in La Cheetah… Yes… You heard that one right!
His Sex Tags Mania & Wania imprints are two of the most influential underground labels to emerge in the last decade, the records sell out the min they hit distribution and there is absolute no PR or hype machine making it happen. It’s just that good! His own creations generally fall under the ‘seminal’ bracket for us and his input can be heard on 90% of what the labels puts out to the world. Imitations of everything from the art to the sound are frequent and that speaks volumes about what he’s created and contributed to the scene.
As a DJ, Sotofett has become somewhat of a mythical creature. Picking and choosing very specifically what he plays and where he plays it - with your best guess at what your gonna hear on the night probably being way off the mark in a rather delightful way.
Round-1 seen him take on the whole night himself, playing his own unreleased productions from start to finish, something that happens pretty much nowhere! For Round-2, he's taking it back to where it all began for Sex Tags, his home town of Kambo, Moss, Norway. He'll be joined in the booth by original reggae sound system crew and Sex Tags Amfibia contributors, Kambo Super Sound!! As with the last show, you won't be seeing this happen anywhere else in Glasgow (or beyond). If you miss it, it's likely you won't get the chance to see/hear it again. DJ Sotofett doesn't mess about!
