Mediburo Berlin was founded in 1996 as a self-organised non-government project. As an anti-racism initiative we have
been pursuing the goal of improving healthcare provision for illegalised* refugees and migrants in political and pragmatic
ways. As the factual exclusion of illegalised persons from the regular healthcare system is based largely on political
reasons we want to promote public awareness of this problem and call for political solutions by means of our public
relations work. None of the people involved are paid for their work on the project.

Das Medibüro Berlin wurde 1996 als selbstorganisiertes und nichtstaatliches Projekt gegründet. Seitdem verfolgen wir als antirassistische Initiative das Ziel, die Gesundheitsversorgung von illegalisierten* Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen auf politischem und pragmatischem Wege zu verbessern. Da der faktische Ausschluss von Illegalisierten aus dem regulären Gesundheitssystem vor allem politisch begründet ist, wollen wir durch Öffentlichkeitsarbeit Bewusstsein schaffen für diese Problematik und fordern politische Lösungen. Alle Mitwirkenden arbeiten unentgeltlich in dem Projekt.
