Cultivated Sound is coming out from the shadows. To unveil our renewed vision and ring in a new series of CS events, we are bringing in D'Marc Cantu, jakbeat pioneer and purveyor of powerfully expressive techno.
You might also know him as 2AM/FM (with JTC aka Dabrye aka Tadd Mullinix) or X2 (Cantu + JTC + Traxx). D'Marc is raised on true Midwestern cred and has diverse releases on Crème Organization, Spectral Sound, M>O>S Recordings, and NYC's own Sequencias. He's even got a Larry Heard remix out there.
Needless to say, this is a headliner we are super excited about.
Alongside D'Marc, we are showcasing our friends at Always Human Tapes who share a passion for stepping into the avant-garde and mixing techno and noise influences with new sounds. Soul Tangler himself is working on a collaboration with Cantu.
We are also super stoked that Always Human Tapes will be announcing a new release specifically for this party, featuring production from Cultivated Sound's leading light, Maŕa.
The Duchess will enchant the initial front room with her emotive, spirited take on traditional dance floor sentiments. In nightlife and as a radio host, she wafts a powerful mysticism upon listeners and incants an inner rhythm.
She will be joined by the usual Cultivated Sound suspects to ensure that there is no break from the dense aura of prime sensation with cs residents Mauricio and Khalil Lajmi.
