rRoxymore는 그녀의 전설적인 10분 짜리 데뷔작인 “Wheel of Fortune”로 2012년 여름에 등장한 이후, 그 이듬해 “Precarious/Precious”라는 첫 EP로 다시 돌아왔다. 4개의 트랙으로 구성된 긴장감이 흐르는 그루브와 코스믹 신스, 어쿠스틱 악기의 뒤틀린 조각과 그 이외에도 여러 가지 흥미로운 사운드가 흐른다.
그녀는 프랑스에서 베를린으로 거처를 옮겨 About Blank와 Panorama Bar와 같은 현지에서 가장 사랑받는 곳에서 (디제잉과 잘 알려진 라이브셋 등) 정기적인 공연을 하고 최근 독일의 세계적 문화 재단인 Goethe-Institut가 지원하는 멕시코 투어를 무사히 마쳤다. 또한 그녀는 레이블 macro Macro를 통해 2015년 더욱 정제된 그루브의 두번째 솔로 EP “Tautologies”를 공개했다. 그리고 작년 Organ Smith라는 세번째 EP를 잉글랜드의 Don’t be Afraid 레이블에서 발매했으며 안무가 Ian Kaler와의 댄스 작품을 협업 중에 있다.
rRoxymore’s music is an intriguing, one-off blend of contrasting textures – organic and synthetic, icy and warm – a fresh step in dance music.
rRoxymore, released her epic 10-minute debut “Wheel of Fortune” in the summer of 2012 as well as her first EP, “Precarious/Precious”, the following year. The four tracks combined nervous grooves, bewitching cosmic synths, twisted snippets of acoustic instruments and other intriguing sounds.
She then made the move from France to Berlin playing regular sets (both DJing and her reknowned live sets) at local favorites like About Blank and Panorama Bar and recently toured Mexico, organized by Germany’s worldwide cultural institution the Goethe-Institut.
She also released her second solo EP of more polished grooves, “Tautologies”, at the end of 2015, via the label macro Macro and last year released her 3rd solo EP Organ Smith, via the English label Don’t be Afraid also collaborating on a dance piece with the choreographer Ian Kaler.
