After the incredible night we had from Steffi last time, we're very pleased to offer something a little bit different for this High Horse, but just as exciting (and also Dutch), as we welcome the fantastic Bart Skils. It'd be too easy to say that Bart is Skils by name and Skils by nature, but we just did then so we're going to have to run with it. Simply put Bart is one of the most consistently exciting producers around at the moment, from his old releases on Pure Plastic through to his amazing current run of incredible records as one half of District One alongside Anton Pieete (and under their own names too) for 2000 and One's legendary 100% Pure label. In fact they've made up almost a third of 100% Pure's releases since the label relaunched in 2004 and their records have certainly featured heavily in the sets of all High Horse's residents since we first started the night, as well as the sets of any big name House or Techno DJ you could possibly think of.
Bart has also just mixed the first VOLTT mix CD from the festival he himself runs of the same name, which is set for release just 3 days before he takes to decks for High Horse. It's a great example of his DJ style which has seen him playing to regularily thousands and has seen VOLTT voted one of Resident Advisors top 10 international festivals, though if you can't wait that long to hear him, here's an example of how good he is to whet your appetite for Friday http://www.bartskils.com/djset/
As always at High Horse we're delighted to be bringing over a DJ of such high calibre to be playing for free in an intimate AND Funktion One equipped venue, and we can safely say that this is a night definately not to be missed!
And also as always the High Horse resident's will be providing able and excellent support all night, with it being the turn this time around of Benedict Bull and Casper C to keep it pumping, jumping and generally popping off all around whenever Bart is not on the decks.
