『テクノ x ベース x アシッド = 最先端アブストラクトサウンド』
夏真っ盛りの8月！モダンなエレクトロニック・ミュージックの新たな地平を切り開くアルバムリリースを経て、多彩なアーティストがContactに集結する。
Studio Xフロアでは、アメリカを拠点に活動するオランダ人プロデューサーのMartynが新作「Voids」のライブセットを披露する。ドラムンベースにルーツを持つMartynだが、ファーストアルバム「Great Lengths」ではダブステップ、ハウス、テクノといったスタイルを融合させた新領域を探究し、その存在を世界に知らしめた。一方の「Voids」は、この10年間で彼が積み重ねてきた全要素を鋭く昇華したアルバムとなっているだけに、今回のライブセットはこれまでの活動の集大成であると同時に、現在進行形の彼が見つめる次なるサウンドを体験できる場になるだろう。
さらに、Martynと同じく"Ostgut Ton"からリリースを果たしているGonnoも登場！"International Feel"や"Endless Flight"からの作品と同様、柔らかくあたたかなサウンドから、ハードに駆り立てるダンストラックまでを巧みに操るGonnoの万能なDJセットが、Martynの幅広い音楽性と相性抜群の見事な空間を演出する。
Contactフロアでは、ロサンゼルスのレーベル"Acid Camp"がナビゲートを担当。レーベル最新作「MDF」を担当したShingo Suwaが主宰者のAaron Davisとともに凱旋出演を果たす。レーベルから発表されてきた、従来とは異なるしなやかで表現豊かなアシッドサウンドで存分に楽しませてくれるに違いない。

Contact will be celebrating the release of multiple new albums pushing against the frontier of modern day electronic music with this many-sided session at the start of August.
On the Studio X Floor, Dutch-born, US-based producer Martyn will be toasting his new album Voids with a new live set. While his roots lie in drum & bass, Martyn truly announced his presence exploring dubstep, house and techno hybrids on his debut LP Great Lengths. Voids is a razor-sharp distillation of everything Martyn has built his name on in the past 10 years, with a live set that reflects on that time span while continuing to push his distinctive sound forward.
Martyn will be joined by Gonno, best known for his work on International Feel and Endless Flight amongst many other respected labels. From more tender warm-up fare to harder-edged club material, the Ostgut Ton affiliate has got the versatility to complement Martyn’s broad sound perfectly.
On the Contact floor, Los Angeles label Acid Camp will be at the controls headed up by Shingo Suwa, whose MDF album has just landed on the label. In addition, Acid Camp label boss Aaron Davis will be showcasing the flexible, expressive strains of acid music he takes such pleasure in releasing.
