Aimed at building a more inclusive rave community, Not Sorry Club is femme-centric, organized with the goal of bringing under-represented talent to the forefront of the electronic music scene alongside more established artists.
Discwoman is a New York based platform, collective and booking agency that showcases and represents talent in electronic music. Their work forges the path for women and LGBTQ artists to be better represented on festival and events line ups across the world.
The congruent ethos of NSC and Discwoman has led to a serendipitous partnership in bringing two of Discwoman's finest artists to South Africa for two shows in September. Workshops will be hosted in each city in collaboration with shesaid.so South Africa with couch sessions and knowledge sharing.

Discwoman co-founder Umfang was born in the Bronx, grew up in Kansas and has been living in Brooklyn since 2010. She holds a monthly residency Technofeminism at Bossa Nova Civic Club focusing on emerging talent. She enjoys playing with people’s expectations of how a techno set can be defined. Her amorphous polyrhythmic productions have been most recently released on Ninja Tune.
Shyboi is a Jamaican born, New York based multidisciplinary artist. Shyboi is the moniker she uses to cause sonic disruption. As a creative positioned between Caribbean and American culture, she uses sound to interrogate ideas of identity, notions of power, perceived histories and the entanglements that happens within these topics. She is also member of the queer artist collective #KUNQ whose ethos is centered around the production of multidimensional work through sound, visual and performance art while expanding the discourse surrounding the subcultures and genres that have become diluted or obscured in the name of hybridity. SHYBOI has three Boiler Room sets under her ever widening belt as well as two performances at MoMA PS1 and a sold out show at the Guggenheim. Recent sounds have been featured in Fact Mag, Thump, Rinse FM, MixMag, Resident Advisor and the Fader.
