GOOD STREET RECORDS SHOWCASE
For our second party (3rd if you count the DJ Clent/JBW one but meh, whatever) we've teamed up with the UK's premier juke/footwork/160 bass label to bring you not 1 but 3 Liverpool debuts. We've got you one of the first artists they released, in the form of Crypticz, the most recent, Johnny Megabyte and the brains behind the whole thing, Ventah.

Crypticz, alias of UK electronic musician Jordan Parsons, has been distilling influences from drum & bass, dubstep and footwork into a deeply personal sound over recent years. After an impressive 2015, with EPs and Singles via labels such as Diffrent Music and Inflect Audio, the young producer quickly began to receive support from a long list of names across the electronic music world.
2016 saw the Echo Sound EP on Doc Scott's legendary 31 Recordings where Crypticz fully exploited his dub/reggae influences over four tracks, expertly built for the sound system. It was shortly after this a working relationship with Om Unit began where the boundary pushing artist invited Crypticz to 'take more risks' and offered 'guidance into the fog'. As a result 2017 sees Crypticz welcomed to the Cosmic Bridge roster with the Forever EP, a personal, emotive release that offers a more refined take on the dub aesthetic that has powered the young producers music to date.
Not content with an impressive studio skillset and release schedule fans have seen a move away from traditional DJing into live performances. Bringing together dub techniques, live looping and more Crypticz Live delivers a unique experience in the club with sets of all original material combined with remixes and exclusive bootlegs. An opportunity to experience the signature Crypticz sound in a new light.

Head honcho of Bow Legged Hoes imprint, Jonny has been putting out tracks in the ghettotech / juke / footwork realm since 2007 with releases on such esteemed labels as Databass, JBW, Juke Trax, Philthtrax, Wide and 6 in the Morning.
His most recent release, for Good Street, sees Detroit Ghettotech and Chicago Footwork meet UK Bass in an amalgamation of styles and sound, featuring Six Foe, the Ghettotech legend who collab'd with DJ Godfather and Mr De' back in the early 2000s. Six Foe's distinct vocal talent brings an engaging, human feel to the tracks.

Since 2012, Ventah's Good Street Records has grown to be a leading light of the Juke/Footwork scene in the UK. Pioneering the unique sound of 160bpm Bass Music, Good Street has been comprehensively and relentlessly releasing music from across the globe. They've forged strong ties with DJs, promoters, radio stations and clothing labels, and have taken Footwork to new crowds all round the UK.
They are both true to the Chicago sound, and support innovative Footwork producers everywhere.
