Sahra (Arabic: سهرة) refers to an evening party where people gather, mingle and dance. The term is also a variant of the feminine name Sahara which is of Arabic origin and means ‘desert’. Sahra explores melancholic, melodic, exotic and emotional nuances of deep house music through a limitless musical expression by Deepar and guests.

This young producer and DJ from Spain is, without a question, one of the emerging talents to keep an eye on, regarding all that is happening in the electronic music scene. He has huge international projection and his inbred passion for music is more than proven. His devotion, since he was a teenager, towards machine-produced sounds – those that make you want to dance – has led him to dedicate most of his lifetime to music production, where his spotless technique combines perfectly with his sophisticated and rich taste for tech-house sounds. He moves seamlessly between the rocky peaks of techno and house. However, it’s his cosmopolite, yet danceable, deep-minimal signature the one that fits better with his sonic comfort space. His call is to provoke motion from a solid and serious proposal. A soft but addictive groove, almost like velvet, and very organic; deep basslines are the ones that set the path to follow, a highly electronic leit-motiv in which emotion is the key; as well as falling into some sort of synthetic reverie, that drives us towards that magical state, in which consciousness is lost: there is no time, no space, only sounds. That is what the fascinating sonic imagery of Mark Alow is all about. In November 2016, Vicious Magazine selected one of his works as one of the best Tech House / Deep House releases along with the music of world-known artists such as Maceo Plex, Henry Saiz and Steve Lawler. Mark has released music on imprints like Akbal Music, Baile Musik, Little Helpers, Innocen Music and more and he already has some new sonic material, soon to see the light. As a DJ, his commitment is quite similar to what he does as producer: elegant, urban, pulsing but punching, very danceable and always surprising sets.
