Ein Date mit Justus Köhncke sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen, fusioniert der altetablierte Kompakt-Artist doch gekonnt die eigentlich unvereinbar scheinenden Welten von Pop und Techno. Als einer der drei Teile von Whirlpool Productions schrieb er ab 1992 mit Eric D. Clark und Has Nieswandt Musikgeschichte und lässt sich seitdem weder kategorisieren noch ausrangieren. Den Bogen geschickt über Pampas und Kompakts Dave DK schlagend, der mit seinem Album “Val Maira” melodisch und treibend punktete, wird das Lineup durch Mister Mysterys Rotciv komplettiert, der funky in die 90er-Kiste greift.

A date with Justus Köhncke should not be missed, the old-established Kompakt artist skilfully fuses the seemingly incompatible worlds of pop and techno. As one of the three parts of Whirlpool Productions, he wrote music history from 1992 with Eric D. Clark and Has Nieswandt and since then hasn’t let himself be either categorised nor discarded. The arch continues with Pampa and Kompakt’s Dave DK, who hit melodic and driving points with his album "Val Maira", and the lineup is completed by Mister Mysterys Rotciv, who grabs from the 90s box.
