They're back. It's Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards and this is the 2019 edition. This is gonna be an all-night long extravaganza and a celebration of the boldest, brightest, most brazen talents. As Gilles says himself "they were set up to celebrate a side of the music scene that often gets ignored.”
Last year Sampha, IAMDDB, Auntie Flo, Nubya Garcia and others graced the stage. Kamasi Washington, Yussef Kamaal, Yazmin Lacey and so many more have played sparkling early performances at the ceremony.
Fusing different disciplines, styles, and genres, the Worldwide Awards continually supports music at its grassroots. Gilles himself acts as the MC for the night. So come and witness a little part of history.
