Co-founders and residents at Meat Free., hailed as one of Manchester’s best techno nights and nominated for best UK club night in 2017.
Through sets at their own parties, they regularly impressed the artists they booked, with Ben Sims in particular championing them outside of Manchester by inviting them to play at his Machine parties and consequently it’s Boiler Room session in 2016.
In early 2018, they caught the eye of Resident Advisor, who invited Meat Free to co host the Manchester leg of their Alternate Cuts series, with the girls providing a mix to coincide with the party.
2018 has already proved to be a big year for the duo, gaining a nomination in the DJ Mag ‘Best Resident DJ’ category as well as gigs at at Fabric, Dockyards Festival (ADE) , Shelter & No Bounds under their belt. Their debut track ‘Broughton 93’ is also featured on Machine’s forthcoming ‘Tribology’ compilation which sees the girls share label space with Function, Truncate & Psyk.

MOTIONEN:
consists of Carlos Matamoros a.k.a. Altrd Being and Matt Salamone a.k.a. Secus, who
concentrate on bringing deeper soundscapes to their interpretation of Los Angeles techno creating
a unique flow of ambient, acid, and dub techno.

1/2 of Motionen
Altrd Being started in the techno scene as Chill-o VJ (Honduras) (Minimo Audio, Modular, Sunjam)
doing visuals for some of the biggest parties in Honduras. Seeking for something more he traveled
to Los Angeles to pursue a higher education in Video production.
Soon after he parted the Honduran techno scene he found his home in the underground techno
scene in LA. He has collected a variety of drum machines and synthesizers. After sequencing them
for a few years he started releasing his tracks on Third Eye Records (Honduras) True type tracks'
sister label GTK Musik from Guatemala and now on his own Imprint Altrd Music and as Motionen
with Matt Salamone aka Secus having released vinyls on both Ascetic Limited Imprint of him and
his partner Matt and Lanthan.Audio.
Carlos Curates both L.A. Structures and Ascetic Limited in conjunction with a few of his friends in
the city of angels his unique sound and flow has allowed him to travel to places like Mexico, Italy,
Spain, Honduras and Georgia. Now he lives in Madrid from the beginning of 2018 where he
continues to make waves in the underground.
Secus a.k.a Matt Salamone
1/2 of Motionen
has been a musician since 2002, audio engineer since 2005, and producer since
2010. In 2018 he started his solo project, Secus, with a forthcoming release on Ascetic Limited.
Originally a drummer, he is strongly influenced by jazz and metal genre's, translating their deep,
driving, and technical elements into his own composition of techno. His powerful yet dynamic
approach aims to satisfy everyone on the dance floor.
Together, through discovering their similar tastes in music, they formed Motionen.
Motionen's debut EP is titled 'Imago' and was released on their label Ascetic Limited in 2016. In
2017, they released their second EP 'Balance Theory' on Christian Gerlach's Lanthan.audio also
the duo has released two singles as part of two VA compilations one for Lanthan.Audio called
Lanthan.Extract 2017 along side Edit Select Milton Bradley, Echologist, Mike Parker, Christian
Gerlach, Deepbass, and one for Ascetic Limited for its this VA compilation 2018 along side Hail
BLK, David ATT, Alfredo Mazzilli, Antonio Ruscito.
Motionen, Altrd Being and Secus have shared DJ Booths with artists as Claudio PRC, Ness,
Deepbass, Fabrizio Lapiana, Wrong Assessment, Viels, David ATT, Wata Igarashi, Jeff Derringer,
Rebekah, RHYW, Developer, Christian Gerlach, Mike Parker, Kanding Ray, Edit Select, Orphx,
Reggy Van Oers Yan Cook, Etapp Kyle, Setaoc Mass, Exos, P.E.A.R.L, Kwartz and more.

YANT:
Gaining a reputation for his young attitude and groove. He brings forward thinking productions which are currently being supported by the likes of DVS1, Ben Sims and B.Traits and are often played in clubs such as Berghain, Fabric and The Warehouse Project.
His DJ sets are built around knowledge, groove and innovation resulting in a high energy atmosphere on the dancefloor.
In 2018 he made his debut in Berlin at the famous Tresor club where he closed the space with full power Techno, not for the faint-hearted.
His debut release 'Cosmic Borders' is out now on BLACKAXON, run by Klockworks artist Jay Clarke.
2019 will bring new plenty of new music and upcoming gigs. Expect a lot more to come from Yant.
