Jamal is one of electronic music's forefront creators & lovers, always pushing ahead to that new new while keeping the history of the underground alive. He was there at the Music Box in the late 80's during the birth of house, and has been pushing experimental electronic dance music forward with an unparalleled spirit ever since. We've been rinsing his tapes at Cassette since our inception and we couldn't be more stoked to get this titan and true believer on our home turf!
If you've been following his massive creative output you know that he has been creating landmark avant-garde astral jazz recordings with members of Sun-Ra and The Sons of Kemet (to name just a few.) We are honored to bring you an extremely rare two hour live "jack jazz" performance from Hieroglyphic Being, joined by Nelson Devereaux and Cole Pulice on saxaphones.
As always, Sasha B. Ware and Naughty Wood will be chuckin down thee most out of left field dance floor cuts ever put to tape before and after his set, with live visuals, heavy fog and trippy viz from Mach Fox.
