Resident Advisor and Absolut join forces to bring you round three of Alternate Cuts, an event series celebrating the UK crews that keep their local nightlife scenes thriving. For little or no return, these promoters work tirelessly to bring their communities together. To celebrate this, we’ve collaborated with three crews to ask some of their favourite artists to play alternative sets. They’ll be exploring corners of their record collections that rarely see the light of day, in some of the best intimate venues in the UK.
On Thursday 4th April, we join Liverpool’s SisBis to host Jayda G at 24 Kitchen Street. She’ll be deep diving in a genre that’s been a huge influence on her musically - Rhythm & Blues. Many a Jayda G set has ended with a hands in the air moment to a glorious r’n’b track, but when we suggested a set of them she came back with something more ambitious. From its roots in blues through rock, psych, soul and hip hop, she’ll be exploring every part of the sound, from its inception right up to the present day.
All ticket sale proceeds from the series will be donated to Stonewall: supporting acceptance without exception.
