Ciao Spring, time to bring the Napoli heat to Berlin. After such a mad 8h party with Lucio & Massimo, surpassing genres from Indian spiritual to Nigerian boogie, it feels only right to have them together with their incredible 6 piece band to play their own renowned 'Nuova Napoli', released just last year.
The disc perfectly fuses Naples' unique sounds of Afro, jazz and disco sound of the '70s and '80s from influences Danielle Baldelli, Pino Daniele, Napoli Centrale, Tony Esposito, and Tullio de Piscopo... A real homage to their city. Nu Guinea worked with unquestionable legend Tony Allen for their album 'The Tony Allen Experiments' back in 2015 and are dedicated to pure rhythm and percussion in their music, something that is clear in the pure groove of their discography.
This Napoli-come-Berlin duo bring a power house with their full live band, sounding like a classic from the 80s through 2019. Join us with high energy & soul for this one as it should be a marker in the JAW books.
