This is going to be a special night at TUFF CLUB: Live-performance duo Opal Sunn will be bringing their improvisational magic to shake up the dance floor this April.
Made up of Japan-born Al Kassian and Hiroaki OBA, Opal Sunn's ever-expanding love for machines has allowed them to create free-spirited, intricately-layered musical landscapes that have turned heads on dance floors across the globe.
Since their first studio release on their own imprint Planet Sundae in 2017, they have crafted a niche for themselves with energetic, percussive live sets featuring travelling acid baselines and expansive ambient textures. Their debut record, split into Parts 1 & 2, showcases a sensitive approach to dance music, ignoring basic arrangement formulae, and working with multiple layers to create intricate and highly emotive soundscapes.
Their follow up EP "Parallax" was released on Nick Höppner’s new label, Touch From A Distance, showed that they had refined their sound and is a well-rounded EP of rhythmic good vibes which seem to come from every direction.
Pull through as Opal Sunn delivers their live show for a night of exquisite melodies, travelling acid baselines and expansive ambient textures for moments of euphoria on the dance floor.
