1 year of The Soul Exchange!
We are holding a party down in the basement of our spiritual home, Notting Hill Arts Club, once again to serve you soul, sass and solid grooves as we celebrate the 1st birthday of The Soul Exchange!
We once again have the biggest badboi line-up of selectors to grace our stage, who are in fact all fresh first timers!
We have man of the hour Dom Williams aka Dom Ore, who not only is known in the capital for his tasty tunes, but is label manager of Acid Jazz and has just in fact found his own label, Miles Away Records! His first release, Patience by Rokk, sold out before it's release and was picked up by Gilles Peterson on his BBC6 show and can be picked up in record shops across the globe.
Next up we have Kitty Durham who has found her DJing style through her work as a musician, having toured globally in her band, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. Kitty has a big selection of Soul and Funk dance heavy groovers ready to shell out on the dance floor. 45s all hour long baby!
Then we have the infamous Chloe Ackers who is better known behind the camera, who will now be front and centre stage with a box of Northern Soul classics. Chloe is well known on the Northern Soul scene for her documentary style photography of the scene and we are super excited to have her soundtrack our night.
Last but not least we have founder and party starter Scarlett O'Malley headlining the evening in true The Soul Exchange fashion. Expect a fusion of hard hitting Northern Soul stompers, Progressive Disco heaters, big dance moves and as much singing as her voice will permit!
It's been 1 whole year baby!
