Mutek is an dedicated to the dissemination and development of digital creativity in sound, music, and audio-visual art officiating as a launching pad for new generations of artists . For the first time in its succesfull 10 year career, Mutek lands in Spain with a series of ¨Soirées¨ that will accompany us throughout the year.
Mutek (ES) aims to create a platform in Barcelona which achieves to connect various proposals of innovative electronics integrated in a program that covers a complete dimension of different contexts in artistic practices related to the scene.
Opening night with Canadian's Deadbeat known for his impeccable productions for labels such as Cynosure, Scape and Wagon Repair and his shock-based experimental dub and techno, a long-time regular at Mutek´s Festival edition in Montreal since its beginnings. Accompanying him will be the Chilean Andres Bucci, who has been creating great music and audiovisual productions since 1996 with artists such as Dandy Jack, Luciano, or the acclaimed Argentine pop star Gustavo Cerati. Barcelona´s Nerone, who will be in charge of opening and closing act of the night, is well known for being part of the Screw U! parties at the Moog Club where he’s been setting the tech-house vibe since 2006 and for his recent productions on Canadian label Secret Weapon Records.
