You know how too many great Australian acts move from Oz to Berlin to do their thing.... well Christian Vance is one of "those people".
Originally from Melbourne Vance honed his craft and became one of Melbournes most respected artists during Melbournes heyday of the late 90's with a strong affiliation with the techno that was coming out of Detroit at the time. Vance's music developed from there working alongside techno luminaries such as Derek May, Carl Craig & Kirk Degiorgio.
In 2008 HAUL MUSIC was started by melb trio; Christan Vance, Craig Mcwhinney and Mike Callander. The Label featured releases from the three artists to much acclaim, Christian Vances' - Step 3000 - Kirk Degiorgio Remix being one of our all time favorite tracks!
Eventually the lure of Europe became too much and in 2012 Vance packed up his studio and moved to Berlin, since then he has started his new project Away Soundsystem alongside friend and fellow techno boss Discrete Circuit. Away has released some outstanding house and techno from the likes as Move D. And their regular parties at the infamous ://about blank in Berlin are a vesicle of good times.

Warming up the room is newcomer Lily Dalton who's been impressing us recently at Something Else Record Store with her great choices and knowledge of all things Minimal.
Playing the all important slot before the headliner is Something else's newest resident dj the gnarliest of gnarls; Val York.
And then bringing it home at the end of the night we have a rather special b2b set with Rhapsody's Mitchell Parkinson throwing it down with Boss beard Dave Stuart (DJ Page).... except something special with this...
