FACES&LACES team announces the first batch of musicians who will perform at exhibition's main stage. Traditionally the lineup will be divided between two days of the event and will consist of prominent Russian and International names. The first round of the lineup is formed of nine acts representing Russia, USA and Kazakhstan.
International scene will be presented by WIKI – a New York native, who performed at FACES&LACES 2015 as part of RATKING and now comes back as a full-formed solo act. The legend of American hip-hop underground scene, that revived interest to Memphis sound of the 90s – LIL UGLY MANE – is also announced to headline the event. Iconic Californian noise surf-punk band WAVVES will be performing in Russia for the first time.
Among the locals hitting the stage during the first day are the energetic alternative big band from Moscow ZALPOM as well as new leaders of the garage scene SSSHHHIIITTT!.
On the second day guests of the exhibition will enjoy the lives of the following top-liners: the founder of the local "new rap school" BOULEVARD DEPO; MASLO CHERNOGO TMINA, a mysterious hip hop project from Kazakhstan, named “discovery of the year”; a young hip hop formation 555TRAKS555. A rap collective PRATZTAL FRACTAL, inspired by the sound of "dirty South" from the 90s, closes the list of names.
