• Have a banging night and strike a blow for women and non-binary artists on the techno scene at the same time. SIREN is a collective formed in 2016 with the purpose of creating a space for those under-represented in dance music, both on line-ups and in crowds. Throwing queer parties in London, their music explores techno in its broadest sense, covering everything from electro to minimal, acid to breakbeat. As a collective, their parties, zines and NTS shows aim to be musical and political platforms for women and non-binary people, as well as a space to critique current trends within electronic music and create their own alternatives. SIREN DJs and their guests play a mix of vibrant dance music across their residency. On the 22nd of August for the final evening of SIREN's residency they host Club Fitness and DJ Mooncup. Originally from Canada but now based in London, Club Fitness is a DJ true to the name. Her sets are dynamic and high in energy, seamlessly blurring between the genres of house, techno, electro & IDM. DJ Mooncup explores the middle ground between techno and trance, encompassing all things dark, weird and hypnotic. A sense of humour and 303-based acidic melodies, as well as industrial heft, are cornerstones of their sets. A resident on Bristol's Noods Radio and a regular at London's Rye Wax, plus squat parties and fundraisers across the UK, they enjoy fusing hidden gems from past decades with recent releases, building energy in a cathartic feedback loop with the audience. Supported by SIREN DJ Sybil.
