Guy From Downstairs’ philosophy regarding the sound of the electronic underground music has always been evolving around clear and simple ideas since day one: staying fresh, adding your own touch to the culture and rocking the dance floor undeniably.
With a distinctive sound in the grooves that he creates, his released and unreleased tracks have been included in the sets of well-established musical acts such as: tINI, Thomas Melchior, Shaun Reeves, Daniel Bell, Bill Patrick, Phil Weeks, Julian Perez, Livio & Roby, Cesar Merveille, Rhadoo, Cabanne, Nima Gorji, Randall M, Herodot and many more.
Some of the labels that feature the sound of GFD on digital and vinyl-only format are Karton(NL), Melisma(Switzerland), Thirteen Records(US), BodyParts records(RUS), Tzinah Records(RO), Robsoul Recordings (FR) and Dilated Records(RO)
So far, Guy From Downstairs had the opportunity to express himself through his unique DJ act in clubs from his home country (Kristal Club, Studio Martin, Guestlist, inSpayer & others) but also in Holland, Austria, England, Germany, Switzerland, Ibiza or US.
A rare remix signed by the house music veteran Steve O Sullivan, an EP released by Phil Weeks’ legendary Parisian label “Robsoul” or the start of his very own “GFD” vinyl-only imprint supported by the likes of tINI, Daniel Bell or Tofu Prod, next to an USA debut with appearances in New York City and Miami - were just some of the highlights of 2016, a year with many more surprises yet to be revealed.
