We want to let everyone know that, unfortunately, Rainer is no longer able to make the trip from Germany to join us at Essence of Sound on June 7. We hope to have him out in the future, but in the meantime, our team is excited to announce that Anthony Nicholson of Chicago will be heading up our DJ roster for the evening. We’ve been hoping to host Anthony for some time, so we are thrilled the timing was right. Anthony is a truly talented musician and DJ, best known for his deep root in a movement of taking the art of electronic and organic music forward. A denizen of Chicago’s house music scene, he is known for his intentional, artisanally crafted underground dance music for over 25 years, starting with his early excursions with Ron Trent and productions/ collaborations with Francois K, Larry Heard, Roy Ayers, Joe Claussell, Glenn Underground and others and included on labels ranging from Sacred Rhythm, King Street/Nite Grooves, Compost and Wave Records to Irma, Ubiquity, and Prescription. Anthony’s discography has been one of the most respected and sought-after collections in house music. Through his iconic label Clairaudience, Circular Motion, Blak Muzik and recent release on DeepArt Sounds, Anthony has cultivated a unique reputation for his musical explorations that ever acknowledge the need for structure built on a foundation of authenticity.
