WELCOME TO THE FUTURE!
2010 is upon us. And whilst visions of hover boards, alien wars and robo-dating still haven’t quite materialised, one thing we can predict with absolute certainty is that The 2010 Annual will be the biggest in history! In honour of this landmark year (and with too many certifiable smash hits to cram into just 2 discs) The 2010 Annual will be a 3CD album for the first time ever! That’s over 65 tracks mixed, mashed & served up for your listening pleasure by three of our planet’s finest DJs.
Kicking things off is The Annual patriarch & Melbourne mainstay John Course, whose musical arsenal is fully loaded with the biggest hits of the moment from MSTRKRFT, Freemasons, Pitbull, Ian Carey, MIKA & Bob Sinclar. Glimmering amongst these massive tunes are some of our futuristic favourites from artists including NASA, Major Lazer, Chuckie & LMFAO and Classixx (tune!!!).
Disc 2 contains The Annual debut from Australia’s favourite indie/tech/dance darlings The Aston Shuffle. 2009 has seen this local duo travel light years with two high rotation tracks on Triple J, a national Parklife tour and a Black Eyed Peas Australian support. Following on from John, the Aston’s take things slightly more left-of-centre-indie-dance with stellar tracks from The Bloody Beetroots, Steve Aoki feat. {{{zuper blahq}}}, Crookers, Art vs Science, Bag Raiders, Cassius, deadmau5 and loads more. This is absolutely, 100%, without a doubt THE disc you will play over and over and over and over and over.
Rounding things off, we head into the wee hours with a spirited vocal journey courtesy of our favourite funny guy and all round great human being, Goodwill. With a perfectly selected blend of current hits & visionary forthcoming classics, Goodwill sets the party dial to Mach 5 with tunes from Dizzee Rascal, Fedde Le Grand, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sam La More, Felix da Housecat and David Guetta.
In another nod toward the futuristic nature of the year 2010, this year’s Annual comes fully equipped with built in futuristic technology – and is the first CD release in the history of the Universe to come with an Augmented Reality enhancement! Say what?! Yep – this is the future folks! Using your copy of the 2010 Annual, a web cam and an internet connection users will be able to interact with The Annual like never before!!
