We couldn't be more excited to announce a very special day-into-night event hosted and curated by world-renowned Japanese music festival, Rainbow Disco Club.
Since its inception 10 years ago, RDC has become one of the most highly regarded and idyllic three-day parties not just in the Japanese music festival calendar but in the world. It has played host to the likes of DJ Harvey, JD Twitch, Matthew Herbert, Maurice Fulton, San Proper, Hunee, Four Tet, and Peanut Butter Wolf, as well as homegrown Japanese acts Soichi Terada, Kikiorix, Sisi, and DJ Nobu.
Masters of curating musical line-ups that guarantee eclectic good times, the organisers of the festival have garnered a reputation for pairing globe-trotting DJs with amazing sound systems while also creating a relaxed family-friendly vibe that welcomes and caters for everyone—an approach we feel a strong affinity with here at Potato Head.
As the sun goes down through the afternoon, expect hands and spirits to rise as RDC co-founder Carlos Gibbs oversees an 11-hour session of good vibrations. He will drop a rare DJ set of his own and welcome Australian producer and DJ Tornado Wallace to the decks, as well as the bone fide bastion of Balearic beat, Phil Mison, to do what he does best. Support from Rainbow Disco Club resident DJs Sisi and Yosa and Potato Head’s own Pete Herbert.
