A feel-good fam-jam established in 2018 by Sergio Santos, Jeremy Ismael, and Diego Knows – Intimate events are hosted throughout NYC and beyond. These family affairs bring eclectic funk, soul and house sounds alongside obscure talent to the forefront of the scene in unique and inviting settings. The always evolving and growing FUNKY FAM provides a cozy at-home atmosphere dedicated to the celebration of life, laughter, friendship and the tie that binds us all – MUSIC! Small nuances and bonus FUNK are added to each event in the form of special guests, live flare, and sweet treats to ensure that “AW SNAP” reaction is always prevalent! Given the name Joyvan by his mother, DJoy de Cuba has always been on a mission to create magic and became the pioneer of the Cuban electronic music scene. It all began at a club called Atalier when he began throwing events in 1997. With the help of the LOVE PARADE performing team and a turntable gift from DJ Hell – he created the festival ROTILLA with his friend Michel. ROTILLA started in 1998 with 150 friends and grew to 20,000 ravers before the government seized the project in 2010. This festival was the voice of the new Cuban generation – the sound characterized by a progressive mix - eclectic and psychedelic that goes from House to Tech House and Techno – just like Djoy De Cuba’s DJ sets that are always spontaneous and give unique color to the storylines of sound.

Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer and Performer. At 29 years of age, Matt has become a fixture in the Northeast U.S. Festival circuit and is well-established internationally now in his 5th year performing throughout Central America. 2016/17 Saw the release of Matt's debut album "Born into Babylon" as well as a release on Option 4's "Hot Boi Records" with his track "Work to Do". Matt is also 1/3 of House power trio "Agents of Vibe." The Agents are coming hot with releases on Soul Clap Records and Bar 25 in Berlin.

Born in the USA, raised in Portugal, Sergio Santos has spent his life between the cities of Porto, Boston, Los Angeles & now, his current base, New York City. Since arriving in New York, Sergio has launched his latest concept - FUNKY PEOPLE, a diverse conglomerate of artists, hosting multiple monthly residencies throughout NYC, providing the soundtrack to this FUNKY life and celebrating love and friendship. Sergio Santos is a name in electronic music that has become synonymous with deep techno, dark disco, funk, and classic house with unique sounds and other world selections. Taking influence from both the United States and Portugal’s dance music scenes, Sergio has a sound that signifies his life experience, deep seeded passion and extensive library of music.

Harnessing voluptuous afro locks and a smile most mischievous, with the energy to light up an entire city block, Jeremy got his musical bearings in Germany whilst serving in the military. After moving to Miami and gaining residency at famed venue: The Electric Pickle, Jeremy found his following and honed in on his sound - a well-rounded selection of Nu Disco, 80's classics, classic deep house, as well as techno and deep tech. His ability to read a room, captivate a crowd, and transport you through his bright and shiny imagination will leave hypnotized and yearning for more.

Co-Founder of FUNKY PEOPLE and Cut-Line event series, Diego Knows has a love for people and music that has compelled him to his role as the papa bear of the FUNKY FAM. Dropping deep cuts and funky basslines he captivates the crowd each time he mans the decks. Harnessing a sound reflective of his travels and mentors, Diego is taking to the turntables and elevating his sound in 2019.
