Fellas from Prague and nite fowls from Nachtigeil Collectivei have decided for this time to bring back the spirit of neon(e) nights and prepared a dope headliner of their next event - beat-witcher from the isles, Slugabed!
This stylish and styled chameleon (in both meanings) has been expanding the horizons of UK club scene in many directions - the last drop of this self-made producer, who releases on labels like Ninja Tune or Anticon, is an album with simple but telling title “any attempt to control the environment or the self by means that are either untested or untestable, such as charms or spells”. At times even jazzy album with a sound that at other times reminds you of the likes of Flying Lotus or even Death Grips, is experimental while also catchy - and that is how Slugabed’s sets are often too, sets which are always different. Clear and simple - there is heaps to be excited about!
Slugabed’s selectors show will be accompanied by classic Nachtigeil fellas ensamble and also yet another islander Tris Kayo - veteran of Gilles Peterson’s Wordwide festival and legendary London club Plastic people. Combo that brings tears to our eyes already from excitement - so we hope that you will come to shuffle around in vibes and make a few moves at the swim floor. Will be big.
