One of House music’s most intriguing artists, Adesse Versions has been refining his sound since 2012. Though in reality it’s just another incarnation of Kevin Gorman, a veteran music producer active since the late 1990s.
Adesse Versions first made a public appearance on the infamous Boiler Room, with a 100% dubplate vinyl set. A series of stylish underground singles followed, cementing his place with the anthemic ‘Pride’ for Glasgow label Numbers. A Chaka Khan sampling peak- timer, it reached a wildly diverse audience. On the one hand, play-listed for BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM and receiving a Guardian write up; while also championed and edited by both Soulwax and Kölsch, even dropped at Berghain by Marcel Dettmann. Not bad for a vinyl only release.
