〈Rush Hour〉の音楽包囲網が捕えた大物Tom TragoがContactに登場！ 2006年のデビュー以来、アムステルダムのダンスミュージックシーンに欠かせない存在として活動しているTom Tragoは、クラシックなディスコやブーギーの熱情やぬくもりを詰め込みながら、数々のコラボレーションを繰り広げてきた多作のプロデューサーだ。昨年〈Dekmantel〉からリリースした傑作「Bergen」を含む4枚のアルバムをこれまでに発表し、ソロアーティストとしても絶え間なく進化を続けている。自身のレーベル〈TT Holland〉から発表したシングル「Saudade」では、まったく飽きさせないグルーヴと極上のエモーションを生み出せる手腕をあらためて証明したばかり。世界を巡る好奇心旺盛なレコードディガーでもあるTom Tragoの幅広く深みのある音楽嗜好は、あらゆるパーティを忘れることのできないサウンドジャーニーへと連れていく。さまざまなスタイルの音楽が飛び交いながらも、4つ打ちの特有のファンクネスによってまとめあげる甘美なセットは必見だ。
サポートを務めるのは、次世代を代表する日本人プロデューサーたちだ。〈Maltine Records〉からは、ディスコの要素をフレッシュに表現するセットでさらなる躍進を遂げているokadadaとBUDDHAHOUSEが参戦。〈TREKKIE TRAX〉からは、Carpainterが登場。今回のCarpainterは、アブストラクトなガラージやテクノをプレイする普段のセットから路線を変えてハウスにフォーカス、フロアをアツく盛り上げる。FoyerフロアではDJ IZU、LazysakレジデンツのパーティHOMEをフィーチャー。ゲストにYoppiとJinbulaを迎える。

Since he splashed onto the radar via Rush Hour in 2006, Tom Trago has been a vital force within the Amsterdam dance music scene. Loaded with the warmth and passion of classic disco and boogie, driven by the inquisitive mind of a globe-trotting digger and buoyed by a continued love of collaboration and interaction, Trago’s formidable catalogue of work is impossible to refute. With four albums to his name, including last year’s fantastic Bergen on Dekmantel, Trago has continually progressed as a solo artist. Look no further than his recently released single Saudade, on his own TT Holland label for proof of the emotional bliss and insatiable grooves he’s capable of.
He’s also a world-class DJ, with a depth and breadth to his taste to take any party he touches on an unforgettable journey. The styles can vary, but that fundamental of four-to-the-floor funk binds everything together in one sweet mélange.
Supporting Trago on the Studio X Floor will be a thrilling cast of Japanese producers. Hailing from the Maltine Records camp, okadada may have been releasing since 2010 but is breaking through all over again with fresh twists on the disco blueprint. Trekkie Trax alumni Buddahouse and Carpainter will also be in full effect, with the latter in particular switching from his usual garage and techno abstractions to play a house-focused set. The Foyer floor will feature DJ IZU & Lazysak’s Home night with a guest appearance of Yoppi and Jinbula.
